Obituary of Anthony Gannuscio

Anthony Gannuscio, age 80, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was the beloved husband for 56 years of the late Phyllis (Archer) Gannuscio, who died August 7, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY, August 23, 1931, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Bernardina (DiChiarra) Gannuscio. Tony, a Korean War veteran, served in the United States Navy and the Merchant Marines. He retired from Sentry Insurance Company in Concord where he worked for many years as a maintenance mechanic. Tony had many hobbies. He loved all types of woodworking, including carving, construction, and repairs. He collected coins and enjoyed gardening. Tony also enjoyed working out at the gym with his many friends. He is survived by his daughters, Paula Jarvis and Diane G. Capodilupo, both of Billerica, his sons, Joseph Gannuscio of Haverhill and Robert Gannuscio of Billerica, and his sisters, Rose Gannuscio and Anna Nieves, both of Brooklyn, NY. He also leaves his 11 loving grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Phillip Gannuscio and Frances LaRocca.
