Obituary of Philip A. Collins

Philip A. Collins, age 77, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Janice I. (Cunningham) Collins, to whom he was married 53 years. Born in Cambridge, June 10, 1934, Philip was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Collins. He enlisted in the United States Army and served with the Military Police during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Corporal. Mr. Collins retired as a Regional Manager from St. Johnsbury Trucking Company after 27 years of service. A 45 year resident of Billerica, he was a member of St. Mary's Church. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters and sons-in law, Patricia Karlson of Billerica and her fiance Robert Anderson, Susan Frasca and her husband Daniel of Topsfield, Nancy Stebbins and her husband Robert of Norwood, and Linda Beaupre and her husband Scott of Billerica, his sister, Kathleen Monagle of Florida, his 6 loving grandchildren, Meaghan, Haley and Daniel Frasca, Jacob and Andrea Stebbins, and Hunter Beaupre, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maureen Kelly, and Daniel, Thomas, Francis, and Paul Collins.
