Lester J. Fox, age 78, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, with family by his side at Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell. He was the beloved husband of the late Wanda J. (Uliczka) Fox. He was born in Chelsea, June 6, 1934, the son of the late Lester J. and Anna (Krol) Fox. Lester met his wife in 1959 while serving in the US Army, stationed in Germany. They settled in Billerica in 1968 and raised their family. Lester enjoyed playing guitar, singing, listening to music, and writing poems to his children and grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by family, neighbors, and friends for his kindness, sense of humor, gift of conversation, and for sharing with those who knew him his wisdom on "life." He is survived by his daughters, Venittia Hockinger and her husband Paul of Bayern, Germany, Roberta Haight and her spouse Paula Weber of Minnesota, Leslie Cunningham and her husband Eddie of Hudson, NH, and Liz Ward and her husband Steve of Derry, NH, his son Kenneth Fox and his wife Mary of Pepperell, his brother, John J. Fox of Ohio, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Glenet Fox.
