Johnson, of Cambridge, June 23, 2013, Robert "Bobby" Johnson, age 62, passed away peacefully after a 2 year battle with cancer surrounded by people that he loved. Beloved son of Mary Johnson of Cambridge and the late Lt. Edward Johnson, Sr. Loving nephew of the late Dorothy Maxwell. Loving brother of Edward Johnson, Jr., Brian Johnson and his wife Elizabeth, and Karen (Johnson) Jagodynski and her husband Richard. Cousin of Brenda Gilchrist and her husband Dicky, Sandy Quigley and her husband Tim, Carla Maxwell, and Cheryl Anselmo and her husband Rick. He was a loving and doting uncle of Kimberly, Mark, Kevin, Daniel, Ryan, Kerri, Nicole, Jared, Zachary, and Mikayla. The years spent with them were some of his fondest memories. He also leaves many cousins and dear friends, including his lifelong friend, Butch McGovern. He honorably served his country and was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. Funeral services will be held in the John C. Burns & Sons Funeral Home, 305 Broadway, Cambridge, Thursday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours, Wednesday, June 26 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. United States Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War. Member of Cambridge VFW. Interment, Cambridge Veterans' Lot.
