Shirley Maguire, age 82, of Chelmsford, MA, formerly of Fairfield, CT, died peacefully at Sunny Acres Nursing Home on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Born on March 15, 1931 in Milford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Perrygrove Maguire. She was a loving woman who will be truly missed. Shirley is survived by her sister Catherine Dobi of Billerica, MA and her sister-in-law Patricia Maguire of Sunnyvale, CA; nephew Ernest Dobi and his wife Ellen of Billerica who helped to care for her in her later years; several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her brothers John, Thomas, and James Maguire. The family would like to thank the staffs of Brightview Concord River, Sunny Acres Nursing Home and the VNA of Greater Lowell for their care of Aunt Shirley during the last few years. Friends and family may call at Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd. (Rt. 3A), Billerica on Tuesday, August 20 from 2 – 4pm. Burial will be in Milford, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
