The Denty Family posted a condolence
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Smith family as we say good-bye to one amazing lady. We will always remember the smile and laugh of Avis as we celebrated birthdays, holidays and a very special friendship. Avis was a dear friend to us all, especially my Mom. She was always there to lend a helping hand when ever we needed it. Our fondest memories were celebrated on Lincoln Street with the families sharing good times together. Avis was an amazing cake decorator, her love of animals and beautiful smile said it all. She will be greatly missed by us all. We send our love to you all.

To Dave, Laura, Neil and Duane;
Knowing your Mom was an honor. It was so obvious how much she loved each of you. I will always smile when I remember vacations in Shediac, listening to your Mom and Doreen's stories about each of you growing up and your camping trips. I'm lucky to have known Avis and to have my fond memories of a such a wonderful person.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time of loss. I have so many wonderful memories of Avis and your family growing up while spending time with my grandparents. From swimming in your pool with my aunts on Lincoln Street, our combined Denty/Smith Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, decorating wedding cakes on Friday nights with Avis and my grandmother and Avis still calling me "Krissy" well into adulthood will be memories I look back on that will always make me smile.
I am greatful for the friendship and love Avis shared with
my grandmother and my family and am hoping she is at peace with God.
With sincerest sympathy ,
Kristen Denty

Avis was a wonderful neighbor and family friend, actually my second Mom. I will always remember the wonderful Christmas's we spent together on Lincoln Street, the trips to Florida when they would come to my house with my parents, the countless times she helped with our dog, a sick sister, opening her home when you'd come home from school and Mom was still at Stop & Shop. She always had the answers. My sisters and I loved her very much and will miss her incredibly. My deepest sympathy to all of you, she was a great woman.
