Patricia "Pat" A. (Rezendes) Simpson, age 70, died Thursday, January 16, 2014, at her home in Florida. She was the beloved wife of Richard J. Simpson to whom she was married 46 years. Born in Cambridge, MA, April 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Christine (Pisani) Rezendes. Prior to her retirement, Pat worked for the Town of Billerica for 17 years as an Administrative Assistant with the Conservation Committee. She was very active with the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter # 212; she was the Past Worthy Grand Matron of the Massachusetts Chapter, a member of the Daughters of the Nile and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary Shriners Club. Pat loved to visit hospitals and nursing homes with her therapy dog, Bailey. Besides her husband, Richard, she is survived by her children, Richard Simpson, Jr., Nancy Eccles, Patricia Tecca, and Christine Dickie and her husband, Mark, all of FL, and Lisa McConarty of Alaska. She also leaves her 8 loving grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and her cousin, Arlene Spinale and her aunt, Anna LeBlanc.
