Obituary of Richard N. Wolf
Richard Neil Wolf, age 81, died peacefully, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley, Billerica. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Morse) Wolf to whom he was married for 53 years. He was born in Billerica, July 6, 1932, the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Melvin) Wolf. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years for Honeywell Company as a mechanical engineer. After retiring he taught in Lowell and Waltham Vocational Schools. Dick, a lifelong resident of Billerica, enjoyed boating with his family and friends for many years on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH. He was an avid reader and collected books and Indian artifacts. He was involved with the Boy Scouts and enjoyed hiking on the Appalachian Trail in the White Mountains. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Steven and Scott Wolf, both of Billerica; his grandson, Benjamin Wolf; his sister, Judy Knorr of PA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Charles Wolf.
