Obituary of Clarence Cormier
Clarence "Vic" Cormier , age 91, of Billerica MA, died peacefully in his
sleep October 19, 2014 at his home on High Street in Billerica. He was
the husband of Dorothy A. (Grimmich)Cormier who passed away in 2009
after 59 years of marriage. Vic was born February 16, 1923 in Fitchburg
MA, the son of the late Louise (Moreau)Cormier and Victor Cormier. He
joined the Navy when he turned 18 and served 6 years on the U.S.S.
Prairie in the Pacific during WWII. He married his wife Dorothy in 1950
and moved to Billerica from Somerville in 1952. He resided in the
Pinehurst area until he moved to North Billerica to live with his
daughter, Karen, in 2010. He retired from Digital Corporation in 1988,
and enjoyed spending time with his friends playing cribbage and pool and
spending time with his 3 grandsons. He was very active in the Community
Congregational Church of Pinehurst. When he moved to North Billerica, he
attended Calvary Chapel in Chelmsford. He is survived by his two loving
daughters and their husbands, Karen L. and Anthony Rafferty of North
Billerica, and Susan Cormier and Robert Walen of Amherst, NH and his 3
grandsons, Alex Rafferty, Forrest Walen and Jeremy Robertson. He also
leaves behind 3 special friends, Mark Lightner and Al and Violeta Riberio.
