A graveside service will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford on Friday, July 31, at 12:00 noon.

Obituary of Charles L. Phinney

Charles L. Phinney, age 88, died Friday, July 24, 2015 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline R. (Burke) Phinney to whom he was married 65 years. He was born in Rowley, MA, February 3, 1927, son of the late Frank and Katherine (Riley) Phinney. Charles served in the United States Army during WWII. He later worked as a machine operator for Atlantic Gelatin in Woburn for 42 years. Charles enjoyed archery and bow hunting, fishing with his sons, Camping, traveling with his late wife, and vacationing at the family cabin in Maine. Charles was a lifetime member at Woburn Sportsmen's Association, Bedford, MA. He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Kimberly Phinney of New Ipswich, NH, Jack and Kathy Phinney of Westford, and Dan and Joanne Phinney of Chelmsford; his two daughters and sons-in-law; Paula and Rick Chalifoux of Chelmsford and Cathy and Bob Dalton of Townsend; his two sisters, Patricia Elderd of Lowell and Barbara Dimauro of Swampscott; his sister-in-law, Mary Lambert of VA and his 9 loving grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
