Kenneth M. Tibbetts died Sunday, September 20, 2015, at his vacation home in Florida. He was the beloved husband of Shirley L. (Cook) Tibbetts. He was born in Bridgewater, November 21, 1932, the son of the late Otto and Laura (Young) Tibbetts. A veteran of U.S. Navy, he served during the Korean War. After the war, Ken went to school at East Coast Aero Tech in Bedford. Ken worked as an electronic technician for MIT Lincoln Laboratory for 30 years. He was a member of the Thomas Talbot Lodge,A.F.& A.M Billerica, the Shriners in Wilmington, and the VFW and American Legion. He also volunteered at the Shriner’s Hospital in Boston. He enjoyed traveling, golfing and bicycling. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, David Tibbetts and his wife, Judy, of Westford, his daughter, Susan Koning of Billerica, his brother, Richard Tibbetts and his wife, Muriel Gillis of Florida, and his sister-in-law, Phyllis Annis of Merrimack, NH. He also leaves his three loving grandchildren, Robert W. Koning, Alison L. Koning and Jonathan “Tyler” Koning and his many nieces and nephews.
