I am sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs. Danforth. As a child she was a very important person in my life. She was the secretary at my Middle School and he most caring person there. Always going the extra mile to help a student. As an adult I got to know here through her work at church. It was my pleasure getting to know her as a friend and hearing all about her family that she loved so much. Please let your memories help you through the coming days

Her Daughter Karen Elizabeth Danforth-Gendron posted a condolence
I would like to add the following to my Mother's Obituary:My Mother’s Obituary should be a reflection of her life … Her ‘life’ as she wants to be remembered began on October 20, 1951 the day she married “MY DAVID” smile emoticon so it’s appropriate that she chose to rejoin him on the day which would have been their 64th wedding anniversary. She will always be remembered for her endless volunteer work with organizations such as The Girl Scouts Of America, Emblem Club, St Barbara’s Woman’s Club & Lions Club, etc. there was never a job too large for her to tackle. She was one of the founding members of St Barbara’s Church in Woburn which was her parish for the past 50+ years.
In addition to the above mentioned family she is survived by an extend loving family that cared deeply for her including her daughter Karen Elizabeth Gendron/Husband Steve from Westford, Oldest Grandchild who has always been extremely attentive to her grandmother, Jill Gendron Muccino/Husband Andrew from Tallahassee FL, First Born Grandson Christopher Gendron/Wife Kari from Huntersville NC and five Great Grandchildren Brady & Alexa Gendron, Delaney, Norah & Callen Muccino and Step Granddaughter Kayla Finerty ..Edith also has many loving Nieces & Nephews from the Danforth Family. While she never had any siblings of her own she has been blessed by a 60 year friendship and a “Sister By Choice” Jeanette Lawnicki who will miss her dearly.

I've known Edith my entire life. Edith and David were among the 'orignals' of Day Circle back in 1953/54. She was indeed the Madame of Day Circle and St Barbara's. She was instumental in building a vibrant and successful neighborhood and parish. As a tireless leader in the Middlesex Lions Club she was active both at the local, district and state level. He made headway where ever she worked. She was active in many areas of Woburn. There was no doubt that she loved her home town.
May she rest in peace and contentment for she is now with the love of her life "My David".
