Obituary of Chester G. Grennell
Chester G. Grennell, age 84, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Care One at Wilmington. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Barnes) Grennell. Born in Waltham, August 28, 1931, he was the son of the late William and Annie Ruth (Flewelling) Grennell. Chester owned and operated C.G. Grennell Trucking Company; he later owned the White Hen Pantry in Winchester. Chester enjoyed singing in the church choir at the First Baptist Church of Waltham for over 50 years. His hobbies include restoring antique cars and tractors. He was a member of the Klaxon Antique Car Club and Yankee Ingenuity Car Club. He is survived by his son, Eric Grennell of Belmont NH, his daughter and son-in-law; Carol and Robert Wait of Billerica, his grandchildren, Richard Grennell of Belmont NH, Hannah Wait and Cooper Wait, both of Billerica, his step grandsons, James Peck and Timothy Peck of Londonderry, NH and his brother,Thomas Grennell of Pelham NH, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late William Grennell and Arthur Grennell.
