Devoted mother of Roberta "Robin" DeFrancisco and her husband, Richard, of Belmont and James Mangiacotti and his wife, Shelly, of Johnson City, TN. Sister of Thomas Peters, Grace O'Keefe and Jane Kurina and the late John Peters, Evelyn Mahoney, Etta Whithead, Rita Parilla and Lillian Denkewicz. Loving and supportive and proud Nana to Richard DeFrancisco, Jr. and his wife, Mariel Cabral of Medford, Stephanie, Kayla and Mandy Mangiacotti of TN, Paula Mangiacotti, Lauren Mitza and Deborah Bennett. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews of "the Peters" clan. Ellen, a lifelong Cambridge resident, enjoyed keeping up with her garden, going out with her sisters and being with her little dog Daisey. She was an LPN at MGH and Holy Ghost Hospital and worked at the Fletcher School as an instructional aid for many years. Funeral services will be private with burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
