Melville “Mel” C. Brown, age 79, died Tuesday April 26, 2016 at Southern NH Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Dion) Brown. He was born in Glendive, Montana, on February 8, 1937, son of the late Murray and Gladys Brown. Mel was a Mechanical Engineer at High Voltage Engineering in Burlington, MA for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Mel’s greatest joy was spending time with family. He also enjoyed spending time on Martha’s Vineyard, the coast of Maine and his trips Nova Scotia. Among his hobbies were fishing, genealogy, gardening and carpentry. He was the beloved father of Joy Johnson from Rehoboth MA, Jeffrey Brown from Hudson NH, Todd Brown and his wife, Charlene, from Hudson NH, and Jennifer Beaton from Chelmsford MA; and his stepchildren, David Cross from Westford MA, Mary Beth Thomas and her husband, Gerald, from Sanford ME, and Timothy Cross and his wife, Pamela, from Lancaster MA. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Adam, Ashley, Michael, Kelsey, Jimi, Elizabeth, Andrew, Rebecca, Jacqueline, Collette, Laci, Elliana and Aubrey.
