Obituary of Rene Sañez Amogawin

Rene S. Amogawin Sr, age 76, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at home. He was born in Cavite City Philippines on January 1, 1940, the son of the late Vicente and Iluminada (Sañez) Amogawin. He was preceeded in death by his brothers Kalinga and Kaulayaw Amogawin. He was the beloved Husband of Loudes L. Amogawin for 56 years. Together they raised five children: the late Renoel Sr and his wife Tes, Renolito and his wife, Lynn, Rene Jr and Analyn, daughter Maria Iluminada, and their youngest daughter Marivic and her husband, Mark Benitez. Rene also leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Renoel Jr, Wrenn Christian, Lou Ann Kristel and her husband, Razzell Ortega, Rennoll Itto, Reneir Inno, Rennyl Ivan, Renalyn, Andrianne, Johann Christopher, Joshua Darren, and Jocelyn. In addition to his family, Rene’s love was also shared by his extended family members and friends. Rene worked in Saudi Arabia as water driller, and in Sultanate of Oman and Malta as an Oil Driller. Prior to their migration to US in 2001, Rene and Ludy were active members and elders of their Church in Imus, Cavite. Rene was ordained as a Pastor in summer of 1998. He and Ludy started a church in Masalisi Lemery,Batangas Philippines in 1999. He worked in Barry Controls as Material Handler and Assembler from 2002 and retired on December 2013. Aside from his full time job, he was an active church member of Mount Hope Christian Center in Burlington. He was a church elder there for 8 years. Rene and his wife were Small Group Leaders. They led Bible studies in surrounding areas each day of the week. He was a great Artist and loved helping out with projects, especially at the church. He wants to be remembered as a believer and a follower of Christ.
