Leonard “Lenny” Michael McLaughlin 9/28/52-8/22/16 Son of the late James and Dorothy (Leonard) McLaughlin of Medford, Ma, and Billerica, Ma. At the age of 63 years old, Lenny passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with an illness. Lenny was a Vietnam Era Army veteran. He was stationed in Fort Bliss Texas from 1972-1974. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, and a Sharpshooter Rifle Medal. Lenny was a music enthusiast and played guitar and piano, and was an amazing vocalist. One of his greatest joys was playing music, especially playing guitar and singing for his family. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Velten) McLaughlin of Billerica. Three daughters, Erin McLaughlin of Billerica, Shauna and husband Eric Bowden, of Milford, NH, and Colleen McLaughlin of Billerica. Brother Jim and wife Judy McLaughlin of Burlington, and sister Maureen McLaughlin and life partner Jack Endyke of Derry, NH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his four beloved grandchildren, Dylan McLaughlin, Alice McLaughlin-Wilson, and Tyler and Hannah Bowden. “Closing time - Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end”
