Obituary of Anthony C. Foppiano
Anthony C. Foppiano, died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at his home in Billerica surround by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Judith (Verna) Foppiano. Born in Stoneham, May 14, 1943, he was the son of Rose (Bernardi) Foppiano and the late John Foppiano. Mr. Foppiano was a United States Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was a resident of Billerica for many years. Tony, devoted to his Catholic faith, was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Billerica. He was actively involved in many areas of parish life including serving as parish bookkeeper, usher, and religious education teacher to name a few. He worked as an accountant with Wood Waste of Boston in Everett. He was an avid Red Sox fan. A proud dad and papa, he loved to spend time with his three girls and their families. Besides his mother, Rose I. Foppiano Milanese of Malden, he is survived by his three daughters, Catherine McGrath and her husband, Patrick, of East Bridgewater, Kristen Lombardi of Methuen, and Cara Glennon and her husband, Richard, of Billerica, and his brother, Richard W. Foppiano of Billerica. He also leaves his 8 loving grandchildren, Brendan, Briana, Ryan, Emily, Derek, Zoe, Jack and Lola, his niece and nephew, Amanda Palmer and Rick Foppiano, his grand niece and grand nephew, and many dear friends. He was also the brother-in-law of the late Donna Foppiano.
