Obituary of Harold J. Bardsley
Harold J. Bardsley, age 67, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his home in Billerica surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sharon M. (Goodman) Bardsley to whom he was married 44 years. Born in Waltham, August 16, 1949, he was the son of the late Harold and Mildred (Bennett) Bardsley. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded several service medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device 1960 and Sharpshooter Rifle M-14. He was also a member of the Army Historical Foundation and a Gold Circle member, DAV, VFW, American Military Society and NRA. After the service he worked at AMA Transport and T & L International. Harold was the former owner of H& S Truck Service in Lowell for over 45 years. He was also a mechanic, fabricator, master welder and an oil service technician. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Kathleen Bardsley of Tewksbury and James and Jaclyn Bardsley of Billerica. He also leaves his brother, Joel Bardsley of Billerica, his cousins Richard and Elizabeth Bruhmuller of Waltham and his 6 loving grandchildren, June, Katelyn, Collin, James, Jr., Clara and Ellie.
