Margaret "Daisy" Oakley died in Cambridge on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Born in Bedford Mass, on April 29, 1917, she attended Shady Hill, Radcliffe, and the Yale Drama School. She also served overseas in the Red Cross during World War II. She was married to Gilbert Oakley, who died in 1983. She is survived by her children, Trix Oakley and Stephen Oakley of Cambridge, MA, Beck Alsop of Housatonic, Gilbert Oakley of New York City, and John Oakley of Ithaca NY, sister, Martha Baltzell of Philadelphia, and brothers, Anthony Pickman of Lincoln and David Pickman of Bedford MA, eleven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Memorial service to be held Saturday, December 13, at 10:00 a.m. in St Michael Church, Concord Rd., Bedford, MA.
