Obituary of Maxiene Dupont

Maxiene Dupont of Billerica, died early Tuesday morning, October 17, 2017 in her home in Billerica. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence C. Dupont, Sr., to whom she was married for 58 years. She was born in Portland, Maine on November 27, 1929, to Angus Randall MacDonald and Rose (Wood) MacDonald. Maxiene graduated from Deering High School in Portland Maine. As a teenager, she was an avid tennis player and ice skater. As an adult, Maxiene was a skilled bridge and solitaire player and member of the Castlewood Garden Club. Maxiene was a “Daughter of the American Revolution” and had 5 ancestors who fought in the revolutionary war. Maxiene was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and never missed a game. Prior to her retirement in 2007, Maxiene worked as an administrative assistant for the Internal Revenue Service. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son and caregiver, Lawrence C. Dupont, Jr. of Billerica; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Candace A. Brassard and her husband, David of Annandale, VA, and Jayne Lee Richard and her husband, Paul, of Gorham, NH. She also leaves her granddaughter, April E. Brassard, and her step-granddaughter, Leslie Richard.
