Billerica - Elizabeth M. (Casey) Miele died peacefully Friday, November 24, 2017 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Stephen A. Miele. Elizabeth was born in Woburn, Ma on August 7, 1930, the daughter of the late Joseph P. Casey and Eva (LaDuke) Casey. She lived the majority of her life in Billerica where she raised her family. Elizabeth is survived by and will be deeply missed by her 4 children, Eva Marie Miele of Worcester, Ma, Patrick Miele of Shirley, Ma, Betty Anne Miele of Litchfield, NH, and Bruce Miele of Statesville, NC. She also leaves her grandchildren, Renee Middendorf and her husband Kevin Middendorf, Amanda Lobsien, and 3 great grandchildren, Gianna, Dominic, and Francesca Middendorf. Elizabeth was the best friend of the late Lucy Bergeron who was also a surrogate mother to her children. Before becoming a housewife and mother to her children, Elizabeth was employed at Sylvania Industries in Woburn, Ma. She enjoyed horseback riding, bowling with her family on Saturday afternoons, and visits to Salem and Newburyport where she will be laid to rest. Family and friends are invited to pay respects on Saturday, December 2nd from 1:00 - 3:00pm at Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd, (Rt.3A), Billerica. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
