Richard A. Fuska 76, of Nashua, NH, formerly over 30 years of Billerica, MA, passed away on February 17, 2018 at Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA surrounded by loving family.
Richard was born Feb. 10, 1942, Johnstown, PA, the son of late John and Ethel (Sabo) Fuska. He graduated from Johnstown High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1968 with an honorable discharge, Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA. During this period he worked for Morris Arakelian in construction and onto manager of Morris' Concord Shores Lounge across a 30 year period. Richard had his own cleaning business as a side job also across 30 yr. period and at intervals was floor supervisor at WANG towers and maintenance for the four Walk-ln Medical Centers, Greater Lowell area.
Since Feb. 2000 Richard enjoyed his employment at O'Connors' True Value Hardware, Billerica, MA where he later became a department manager until his passing. He was known for being a hard worker, going the extra mile, extending a helping hand to one in need, and spreading laughter with a terrific sense of humor. Richard has contributed to paralyzed/disabled veterans and donations can be made to US Veterans organizations in place of flowers.
Richard is survived by his wife Sherry (Clay) Fuska, together 44 years; son (Richard John) RJ, stepsons Lonny Keith, Shaun, Travis, and Jason Merrill all formerly of Billerica, brother Ed Fuska, sisters Barbara Mulvehill, and Alberta Orris, all of Johnstown, PA, sister Veronica Ferguson, and brother Donnie Fuska, both of Tucson, AZ.
Calling hours are Sat. Mar. 10, 2018 from 3pm - 5pm followed with a memorial service at Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd. (route 3A), Billerica, MA 01821.
