George R. Schreib, age 57, died Monday, January 19, 2009 at Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell. He was born in Cambridge, June 25, 1951, the son of Dorothy J. (Finigan) Schreib of Derry, NH, formerly of Billerica, and the late George E. Schreib. Prior to his recent move to Lowell, Mr. Schreib had been a longtime Billerica resident. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially carpentry work. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. He also loved the ocean, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. Besides his mother he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James and Amy Schreib of Hudson, NH, his daughter, Christie Lynn Schreib of Fall River, his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Donna Schreib of Billerica and David and Marsha Schreib of Lowell, his three sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Anthony Hubert of Londonderry, NH, Cynthia A. Aucoin of Derry, NH, and Dorothy and James Freeman of Billerica. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
