Obituary of Marissa Missy Hope Spera

Marissa “Missy” Hope Spera departed this Earth on June 23, 2018. She was 18 years old and just graduated with high honors from Innovation Academy Charter School. She was born on September 14, 1999 in Concord, MA to Gregory, Sheryl (Coluccio) and her beloved sister, Courtney Alexis Spera. She was an outstanding National Honors Society member and was awarded scholarships for her academic achievements. She had plans to attend Northern Essex Community College this fall to pursue her interests in chemistry. Missy had the special ability to touch others in a deep and positive way. She was known for her sweet, kind, humble, independent, passionate and compassionate soul and was well loved, cherished and respected by all who knew her. She had a deep commitment to anti-bullying and promoting a love and respect for diversity as well as preserving the environment. She is survived by her parents, Gregory and Sheryl Spera; her sister, Courtney Alexis Spera; her maternal grandparents, Paul and Rosalie Coluccio; her paternal grandparents, Russell and Paulette Spera; her maternal aunt Lynne Coluccio and her husband Ray Wormwood and their children Amanda Marshall, Jason Wormwood and Rebecca Wormwood; her maternal aunt Wendy (Coluccio) Burek, her husband Anthony and their children, Justin and Brooke; her paternal uncle Jeff Spera and his wife, Shelby and their son, Jasper; her paternal uncle, Jonathan Spera and his wife, Lisa and their children, ZuZu, Felix and Lief; and many loving friends, aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of the family.
