Josephine M. (Mastropietro) Berry, age 91, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Wingate in Reading. She was the beloved wife of the late Percy M. Berry. Born in Bennington, Vermont, June 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Rafael and Minerva (McNinch) Mastropietro. Josephine was a longtime resident of Billerica. She was an active member of the Eastern Star, Chapter 212, past matron and secretary emeritus. She was a proud member of the Active League of Women Voters. Josephine also worked at Hanscom Airforce Base as a listener which enabled the government to decipher transmissions. She was so good at her job that a room was named in her honor. She is survived by her daughter, Josephine (Berry) Rodrigues and her son, Jonathan Berry, both of Billerica. She also leaves her three loving grandchildren, Amy Berry, Brenda Rappaport and Joseph Rodrigues as well as her three great grandchildren.
