My Dear and Beloved Auntie Peg (and City Mom),
Thank you for all of the wonderful family memories when you graciously opened your home to host celebrations with family. A special thank you from one of the many that you opened your home to while attending college. Well into your 90s, you would always put the kettle on for a cup of tea when any of us dropped in for a visit. Oh, the hours sitting around the kitchen table sharing our day or sharing our family history. Your kindness, wit, intelligence, and smile lit up any room. For not only a life well lived, but for one well shared with others, you are and will be a role model for generations.
Love, Marianne Crowley

So sorry for your loss. Peg was an amazing kind, thoughtful woman. Pat saved my life in 1969 and Peg was right by his side with her black nurses bag. Although she gave Pat all the credit she was there right by his side quietly providing medical assistance. They were a great team and her loss deeply saddens me !! May she rest in peace

I have known the Corcoran family since they moved into the neighborhood. We all attended the same school and Pat (her son) and I were in the same grade.
We also lived on the same street, I walked past their house every day. I was always greeted with a warm greeting whenever I saw them. This continued to the present. Mrs. Corcoran would drive past my house and toot the horn. These last years she took to walking and would walk past my house, and always call out "Hi Jackie" . She insisted I call her Peg, but I told her I couldn't do that because she was Pat's mother, and that would just be too disrespectful..
They were a blessing that I got to carry through my life. They were a wonderful family, and an important part of my life. I will miss her kindness a great deal.

Forty-one years ago, Peg and I worked together at University Hospital. We both lived in Cambridge. I worked every weekend. One weekend morning I was standing at the bus stop and Peg drove by. She stopped the moment she saw me. From that day on, she was there, waiting at the corner of my street for me so that she could give me a ride to work. I never forgot her kindness. Even today, when I drive by her house, her Red Sox flag puts a huge smile on my face. Rest in peace, Peg. Heaven needs another angel as sweet as you!

One of my favorite memories of my Aunt Peg happened in Washington DC. I was invited to tag along with the Corcoran family on their vacation. We had tickets to see the Senate in Session. Aunty and I went together. She drove from the suburbs into the city. The car stalled a few times, but she kept going. We parked the car and then I had the privilege of sitting in the gallery with her to see how the senate does business. We had an adventure and she was up to the challenge, as always.
